Why join the VRA? Membership that supports practice, connection andinfluence

Vocational rehabilitation is at its best when it connects evidence, good clinical reasoning, real-world work demands and collaborative employer engagement. VRA membership is designed to support that, helping members and organisations stay connected, build capability and champion high-quality VR across the UK.

Who membership is for
We welcome members working across occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, nursing, case management, occupational health, employment support, insurance, academia and related fields, anyone committed to supporting sustainable work participation following injury, illness or disability.

What you get as a member

·        Visibility and credibility

o    Bepart of a recognised UK community for VR practice.

o    Eligible members can be included in our Find a Practitioner directory, helping employers and referrers connect with VR expertise.

·        CPD and resources that are usable in practice

o    Access member resources and learning materials that support assessment, planning, adjustments and communication with employers.

o    Stay up to date with emerging themes across health, work and inclusion.

·        Community, collaboration and influence

o    Connect with peers, share approaches, and learn what’s working across different sectors.

o    Support the visibility of VR within policy, workplace health and rehabilitation conversations.

·        Events and discounts

o    Member pricing for selected events, plus opportunities to contribute and present.

Choose your membership route
If you’re not sure which option fits, use the guide below as a starting point:

·        Individual membership is usually the best fit if you want to build your own VR capability, access member resources, connect with peers, and (where eligible) increase visibility through directories such as Find a Practitioner.

·        Organisational membership is usually the best fit if you want to support staff development across a team/service, demonstrate commitment to quality VR, and create consistency in approaches and standards.

What members tell us they use most

·        Practical resources that can be used immediately in assessment, planning and employer communication.

·        Events and webinars that refresh practice and connect members to current themes in health and work.

·        A network of peers to sense-check complex cases, share approaches and learn what’s working across different settings.

·        Opportunities to contribute (sharing learning, presenting, writing) and strengthen the visibility of VR.

Organisational membership
For services and organisations, organisational membership is a simple way to show commitment to quality VR, support staff development, and connect your team into the wider VR community. It can also help create consistency in practice approaches across a service.
