Overview of the benefit information resources provided by Turn2us

For our April CPD webinar we were joined by Turned2us, a UK charity providing information about benefits and their benefits calculator tool.

About Turn2us

So everyone has the opportunity to build financial sustainability and thrive, Turn2us offers the information and support people need in the face of life changing events, and collaborates to tackle the causes and symptoms of poverty.

Any of our lives can be turned upside down because of an illness, job loss or relationship breakdown. But too often we see these life events trap people in poverty.

We want to stop people being swept into poverty and give practical help to anyone already struggling to cope.

About our speakers

David Samson

David is the Product Owner of the Turn2us Benefits Calculator, and oversees and produces benefits content on Turn2us website. He has more than thirty years’ experience in the welfare benefits field, including front-line advice in previous jobs at various citizens advice bureaux and advice centres.

Victoria Tham

Victoria Tham is a development officer at Turn2us a national charity that offers practical help to people who are struggling financially. She leads on development and maintaining relationships with key sector partners and organisations that use Turn2us online tools and helpline alongside developing referral partnerships so that Turn2us users can continue to get the support they need after they have used our services.

Turn2us have since clarified that sole traders/independent practitioners do not have to pay the £100 + VAT licence fee for intermediary accounts unless they want a large number of licenses
