Creating Routes to Return, Progress and Thrive

Vocational Rehabilitation Following Neurological Injury

With Angeline Jackson, Managing Director, Neuro Routes & Dr David Fassioms, Director of Operations and Clinical Services, Neuro Routes

What happens when returning to work isn't simply about getting someone back to the job they had before?

Following neurological injury, the route back to meaningful work can be complex. Physical, cognitive, psychological and social factors may all influence an individual's ability to return, remain in or progress within employment.

This practical session from Neuro Routes will explore how vocational rehabilitation can help individuals navigate that journey — from assessment and goal setting through to return-to-work planning, workplace adjustments, employer engagement and longer-term support.

Importantly, the session will look beyond simply returning someone to their previous role. It will consider skills, aspirations, identity and future vocational potential, exploring how rehabilitation can help people not just return to work, but find a route to work that is meaningful and sustainable.

In this session, you will explore:

  • How neurological injury can affect an individual's vocational journey
  • The physical, cognitive, psychological and social factors that can influence employment
  • Practical approaches to vocational assessment and goal setting
  • Developing effective return-to-work plans
  • Identifying and implementing appropriate workplace adjustments
  • Engaging effectively with employers and the wider rehabilitation network
  • Looking beyond previous employment to consider skills, aspirations and vocational potential
  • How vocational rehabilitation can support people to return, progress and thrive

Who is this session for?

This webinar will be particularly relevant to professionals involved in vocational rehabilitation, rehabilitation, case management and workplace support, as well as those supporting individuals following neurological or severe injury.

Whether your role is clinical, vocational, managerial or employer-facing, the session will provide practical perspectives that can be applied within your own practice.

Why attend?

A return to work is not necessarily the end point of vocational rehabilitation.

This session will encourage you to consider a broader question:

What could meaningful work look like for this person now — and what route could help them get there?

Join Neuro Routes for a practical exploration of vocational rehabilitation following neurological injury, with ideas and approaches you can take into your own practice.

Book your place and discover how vocational rehabilitation can help create routes not simply to return, but to progress and thrive.
